Hohn Engineering, PLLC was founded by Thomas K. Hohn as a Professional Petroleum Engineering Company. Mr. Hohn is a Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer. He began his career in 1974 and spent ten years working for both major and independent E&P companies in a variety of geographic locations. His work included all phases of engineering, operations, and management. Since 1984, he has worked as an independent Petroleum Engineering consultant.

Mr. Hohn’s extensive experience in the industry and his ability to attract high quality professional associates result in a consulting engineering company that can serve the needs of any client, no matter how large or small. The company is dedicated to the highest professional and ethical standards, and believes that there is no substitute for sound engineering solutions.

Engineering
Hohn Engineering, PLLC has expertise in all phases of petroleum engineering including drilling, production, reservoir, facilities as well as environmental engineering and geology. Mr. Hohn also has extensive experience in property evaluation, acquisitions, expert testimony, field operations, and property management. State-of-the-art computer systems and software are used extensively.

Field Supervision and Project Management
Hohn Engineering, PLLC provides top quality professional supervision of field projects. Expertise covers all operational activities including permitting and regulatory compliance, well design, bidding and contracting, drilling, completions, pipelining, facility design and construction, and field operations. We have extensive experience in managing multi-well exploration and development programs in gas fields throughout the Northern Rocky Mountain Region.

Well and Property Management
Hohn Engineering, PLLC manages producing properties in a professional and cost efficient manner incorporating the best of new technology. We have engineering, operations, and administrative staff capable of managing, operating, and enhancing any oil and gas property in the Northern Rockies. The company has developed a computer-based system to monitor gas wells from our Billings office. Operational and sales information is retrieved from the well via cell phone, processed, and then posted to a password protected client web page located on our own secure website server. Polling frequency and data presentation are tailored to client needs and all data may be downloaded. Near real time production and sales information allows timely management and marketing decisions and more efficient use of field labor by saving unneeded trips to the wells. Use of this system has redefined well operations for our clients.

Shallow Gas Exploration and Development
Hohn Engineering, PLLC has extensive shallow gas experience in the Northern Rockies. Mr. Hohn has personally managed and supervised numerous drilling and completion programs encompassing over 500 wells for a wide variety of clients. Associated professionals have also been involved in hundreds of wells. Our experience covers all aspects of the well’s life, from the cradle to the grave.
